Sheffield Digital Puts Foster & Scott in the Spotlight

This month, we are featured on Sheffield Digital’s company website, with our very own company spotlight. Sheffield Digital is an organisation for businesses and individuals involved in the digital industries of Sheffield and South Yorkshire. Having joined Sheffield Digital as a member towards the end of last year, we jumped at the opportunity to showcase our business to a wider audience.

Carl & Gareth, our founders, answered questions about all things Foster & Scott and here are some of their answers:

Who are Foster & Scott; when you were established, who by, what do you do and how do you do it?

We are an established, full-service design and marketing agency, based in Sheffield. The business was started in 2011 by myself and Carl who had worked in agencies around the Yorkshire area and developed extensive experience in design and marketing.

Who are your clients, and do you work with any particular industries or sectors?

We specialise in a wide range of services, including website design, digital marketing, branding, and creative design. We work with a variety of clients across various industries and sectors, including Cybersecurity, Leisure, and Manufacturing.

How would you describe the culture at Foster & Scott, and how does this impact the work you deliver for clients?

We have a great team of individuals with various interests outside of the agency which helps give different viewpoints to the work we produce. The fact that we are studio-based allows for a family culture to develop within the team and with our social activities.

What are the main challenges facing your business at the moment, and how are you tackling them?

We are a small regional agency so that can have its challenges. However, our larger clients then realise that they get a personable approach to our service. They get to know our team and they find that we always go that extra distance that some larger agencies just simply would not do with how they are structured.

What are your views on Sheffield’s digital scene; what’s problematic, what’s great about it, and what would you like to see change over the coming years?

Sheffield is a unique city with its own identity and perspective. It’s not trying to be a Leeds, or a Manchester and we like to do things differently. We think that Sheffield’s reputation will grow because of this and continue to develop as a creative and digital hub.

What’s on the horizon for Foster & Scott over the next year, and the next three years?

To continue to evolve and grow by working with like-minded brands and clients. We are going to be going to be pushing for more recognition locally and also hopefully giving something back with plans to take on placements and work with local charities.
